The First Rochester Tango Weekend! Tango all over town September 25-26! The Tango Society of Rochester presents Florencia Taccetti and Evan Griffith Tango Weekend Features: Workshops on Saturday, Tango dinner at Sontes, Milonga at Studio 324 with DJ Paul Lohman and after hours wine bar at Sontes; followed by a day of private lessons on Sunday at Dahl Dance with Florencia and Evan! SATURDAY, September 25th, 2010 Classes held at the Rochester Athletic Club, 3100 19th St NW, Rochester MN
- Noon - 1:30 pm: "Introduction to close embrace": Develop a close connection to your partner and to the music. Learn how to dance close and maintain the freedom you need to create dynamic movement. Learn how to adjust the embrace for occasional partner. (Fundamental Class for All Levels)
- 1:45 pm- 3:15 pm: COLGADAS 1: "Introducing Colgadas" Exercises to learn how to balance your partner's center of gravity and many simple colgadas. (Advanced Beginners to Intermediate level)
- 3:30 pm - 5 pm: COLGADAS 2: " Creative Colgadas Sequences" (Intermediate Level)
**Every class builds in to the next one. Beginners can attend the first class. Advanced beginners may attend the first two, and Intermediate can attend all three classes. Everyone will benefit from the 1st class! Followers should bring flat shoes AND high heels to each class. Tuition for Saturday Classes (per student): $35/class or $105 for all 3
